Seniors Gifted Crayons, Adult Coloring Books In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL ---A group of Glen Ellyn senior citizens got a colorful surprise during National Nursing Home Week, when a local business donated adult coloring books, crayons, and other items to boost their creative spirits. Dozens of residents at Brookdale Senior Living received the care packages --- donated by TCC Glen Ellyn with smiles on their faces.

The residents also got colored pencils and playing cards to help them pass the time. Tissues and other toiletries were also part of the donation.

TCC's gifts to the Brookdale seniors were part of the company's nationwide donation of 3,000 such care kits to senior living spaces throughout the country.

Brookdale Senior Living provides independent and assisted living to seniors. The campus features a coffee shop, a library and an arts and craft space where residents can make art with their new gifts.
