Severe Weather Expected This Afternoon, Tonight
Extreme heat has also entered the area with maximum heat index values expected to be between 95 to 105 degrees.

Damaging winds, large hail and even tornadoes could hit the Chicago suburbs this afternoon and evening as more severe weather is expected.
Strong to severe storms are expected between 3 and 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
At the same time, temperatures could reach between 85 and 95 degrees with a maximum heat index values between 95 and 105. A flash flood watch is also in effect through late tonight for counties in northeastern Illinois.
