Spring Wood MS Teachers are “Ba Da Ba Ba Bah, Lovin' it”

Spring Wood Middle School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to raise money for the school.

Bloomingdale| Spring Wood Middle School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to raise money for the school.

Teachers and support staff from SWMS volunteered behind the counter on Thursday, January 23rd, 2020, at the Bloomingdale McDonald's on Stratford Drive, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser.

Spring Wood MS staff members worked various jobs throughout the restaurant during this three-hour fundraising event. These jobs included, wearing an apple pie costume, apple pie seller, making ice cream treats, front counter helper, delivering meals to customers, calling out orders, and working the drive-thru.

The proceeds from the Apple Pies sold went directly to benefit SWMS PTO. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were also donated directly to the school.

David Bear donated a case of apple pies to the school for sale at the event. Inspired by the success of McTeacher's Night, the Bear family has set their sights on partnering with other schools in the area.

Thank you to SWMS PTO President, Lorie Catrambone, and 7th Grade LA teacher, Eleni Vrettos for organizing the entire event.
