Student Leadership Council Receives Ed Snyder Merit Book Award

The Student Leadership Council at College of DuPage is one of only three community colleges in Illinois to earn a 2017 Ed Snyder Merit Book Award from the Illinois Community College Student Activities Association (ICCSAA).

“The entire college community can take pride in such recognition since we all are dedicated to student success and a positive student life experience at the College,” said President Dr. Ann Rondeau. “We are equally as proud of our student leaders, who each has a story that contributes to the life of the College. We are inspired by their individual journeys and so very impressed with their maturity, capacities, talents, skills, gifts and focus.”

The Ed Snyder Merit Book Award is given annually to student governments who submit a binder or bound document that provides an account of activities and service provided. The criteria for receiving this award required a demonstration of excellence in six areas: Student Voice, Assistance to Other Clubs and Organizations, Student Leadership Training, Community and/or Committee Service, Assuring Provision of Programming and Assuring Continuity of Governance.
