Taste Of Glen Ellyn, Village Fair Kick Off Festival Season

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- The weather may not feel like springtime, but Taste of Glen Ellyn and the Glen Ellyn Village Fair are getting ready to bring the spirit of summer to life. The annual Taste of Glen Ellyn festivities kick off May 15 with the first day of the Village Fair and include live performances, an arts and crafts fair, and delicious eats from local restaurants.

The Taste of Glen Ellyn will be in a new location for 2019 at the intersection of Main Street and Crescent Boulevard. Free parking will be available at five Metra lots between Lorraine Street and Montclare Avenue on Duane Street.

This year, the Glen Ellyn French Market will open two weeks earlier on May 19 to coincide with the end of the Taste of Glen Ellyn. You can visit the French market every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Main Street Train Station.

Village Fair Carnival

The Village Fair carnival will light up the parking lot at the intersection of Crescent Boulevard and Glenwood Avenue. Festival goers can buy wristbands ahead of the event or at the day of the carnival. Carnival hours are as follows:

May 15: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

May 16: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

May 17: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

May 18: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

May 19: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Main Stage Entertainment

Throughout the Taste of Glen Ellyn, attendees can catch live music and dance performances on the main stage. Here's a look at the lineup for performances on the Main Stage in 2019.

May 16

5:30 p.m.: Sealed with a Kiss

8 p.m.: Fool House

May 17

5:30 p.m.: Gone Country

8 p.m.: 7th Heaven

May 18

12 p.m.: School of Rock

3 p.m.: The Tiny Hearts Band

5:30 p.m.: Mr. Blotto

8:30 p.m.: Bad Medicine

May 19

12:30 p.m.: Tynan

3 p.m.: Libido Funk Circus
