Tuesday, September 1, 7:00 PM, the Glen Ellyn History Center becomes the education and entertainment center for the presentation, Terminal Town: Chicago’s Airports, Bus Depots, Train Stations, and Steamship Landings from 1939- to Present Day. The Glen Ellyn Historical Society is welcoming Joseph P. Schwieterman, Director of DePaul’s Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development and author of the book, Terminal Town. The admission fee is $5 at the door, students under 18 free.
Schwieterman will be talking about great icons of transportation including Chicago’s Union Station, Dearborn Station, Midway and O’Hare Airports. He will discuss lesser-known and long-gone terminals throughout the metropolitan region. Learn why Chicago is America’s premier travel hub.
