Truck Slides Off Road and Into Home Near Winfield

No one inside the home was injured. The truck's driver was taken to Central DuPage Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A truck slid off Roosevelt Road near Winfield and into a home just after 6 a.m. Monday, police said.

The crash occurred in the area of 28w030 Roosevelt Road in unincorporated Winfield. The truck driver was injured in the crash and was taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield with minor unknown injuries, according to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office press release.

No one inside the home was injured.

The DuPage County Building and Zoning has been called to check the residence to see if it is inhabitable.

Police were reporting crashes on slick roadways throughout the suburbs this morning but it was not immediately clear if road conditions contributed to the crash near Winfield. No other details were immediately available. The crash is being investigated by the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.
