Victory Gardens Were Part of History and Woman's Club Learns Why
Glen Ellyn Woman's Club's Tues. April 7 meeting beginning at 1:00 PM, focuses on Victory Gardens and the reason for them.

Kirstin Larson, vegetable gardener extraordinaire, takes the audience back to the time of
Victory Gardens in everyone’s backyard. This walk through history is the program at the Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club Tuesday, April 7, meeting beginning at 1:00 PM. The location is the Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane Street. Larson will look at what Victory Gardens were, how they flourished, why they disappeared and where our produce comes from today. During the program, the audience re-visits the idea of Victory Gardening and how it can be useful in our life styles today. Guests are welcome to attend.
