Vintage Autos on Display at the 5th Annual Auto Festival

Three Vintage Autos were chosen as Best of Show at the 5th Annual Vintage Auto on June 2

From 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 2, the weather was perfect for the 5th Annual Vintage Auto Show sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Historical Society. Located at Historic Stacy's Corners, 800 N. Main Street, the breeze drifted over the beautiful and shiny vintage autos as their owners chatted with the crowds who came to see this unique auto show. As people wandered through the autos on display, they were given a paper to vote for the car they liked for first place, then second and then third. At 2:30 PM, GEHS Board member Dan Anderson announced the winners and presented the owners with a keepsake plaque. First place was a 1936 Auburn owned by Mark Spandikow, second place was Bill Morris and his 1932 Pierce Arrow and third place was John Cascio and his 1963 Corvette. The Bake Sale sold out of wonderful baked goods by 1:30 PM and Stacy's Corners Store Sidewalk Sale was a great success. Perfect weather on a Saturday afternoon brought crowds from all over DuPage County.
