Woman Trapped Under Her Own Car In Accident In Glen Ellyn: Police

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Police are investigating an accident that left a woman trapped beneath her own car in the parking lot of an Aldi store in Glen Ellyn Wednesday. The woman, 61, from Lombard, is still hospitalized, according to police.

Police believe the woman was outside of her car when it was hit by a male driver, 71, from Lombard around 1:35 p.m. Emergency personnel were able to remove the woman from beneath her car and rushed her to Good Samaritan Hospital, police say.

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to call the Glen Ellyn Police Department at 630-469-1187.
