$130K Freightliner Truck Stolen From Glenview Business: Blotter
The truck was stolen from the lot of a business in the 1500 block of Paddock Drive: Glenview Police Blotter.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

- Cesar Munoz, 37, of the 2800 block of N Marmoa Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended driver's license, driving without headlights, and was arrested at 6:31 p.m. Dec. 14 in the 900 block of Shermer Road. He posted a $2,500 bond, and was assigned a court date of Jan. 11, 2021, in Skokie.
- Mizae Olea Adame, 30, of the 800 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, is accused of driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:10 p.m. Dec. 18 after being involved in a traffic crash in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Road. Adame was released after posting a $2,500 bond, and assigned a court date of Jan. 14, 2021.
INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Glenwood Avenue resident reported at 11:14 a.m. Dec. 15 that someone made four purchases using their credit card. Total reported loss is $3,291.65.
- A Gold Court resident called police at 8:24 p.m. Dec. 17 to report receiving a debit money card in the mail. The resident never applied for the account and does not know how their personal information was compromised. There is no financial loss at this time.
- A Bluestem Lane resident reported at 1:49 p.m. Dec. 21 that their credit protection company notified them an unknown person opened a PNC Bank account using their Social Security number. There is no financial loss at this time.
- There were 54 identity theft reports between Dec. 15-21 related to the ongoing Illinois Department of Employment Security identity theft fraud.

- A resident in the 4500 block of Concord Lane reported at 2:55 p.m. Dec. 15 someone stole the catalytic converter from their vehicle. Total reported loss is $540.
- A Warren Road resident called police at 2:52 p.m. Dec. 15 to report being a victim of an employment scam and depositing a fraudulent check. Total reported loss is $2,355.76.
- A resident in the 1100 block of Longmeadow Drive reported at 6:52 p.m. Dec. 17 someone stole the front and rear license plate off a vehicle. A surveillance video shows a person wearing a hood remove the license plates at 4:30 a.m. Dec. 17. The total reported loss is $100.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
- A resident in the 4100 block of Miller Road called police at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 to report a male wearing a reflective vest came to her door stating he was from the Village and needed to check the water. The resident told the man they were going to call the police and verify he was from the Village. The man left after the police were called.
- A resident in the 1900 block of Robincrest Lane reported at 3:01 p.m. Dec. 17 that the front door of the residence was found forced open. There is no reported loss at this time.
BURGLARY
A construction worker called police at 7:17 a.m. Dec. 16 to report someone stole tools during the overnight hours at the construction site in the 1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The total reported loss is $1,220.
HARASSMENT BY ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICE
An employee of a business in the 2500 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 8:44 a.m. Dec. 16 receiving threatening text messages.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An employee of a business in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 3:36 p.m. Dec. 16 to report being threatened during a telephone call.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:48 p.m. Dec. 16 a female used a cutting tool to steal an Apple Watch 6 from the display. The female left westbound on Golf Road in a vehicle. Total reported loss is $499.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE SUPPORTED PROPERTY
- An employee at the Glen/North Glenview Metra Train Station, 2301 Lehigh Avenue, called police at 8:32 a.m. Dec. 17 to report someone damaged a toilet with an unknown tool. Total reported loss is $500.
- An employee of the Village of Glenview reported at 1 p.m. Dec. 17 someone damaged the fan blades to a ceiling fan at the Glen/North Glenview Metra Train Station, 2301 Lehigh Ave. Total reported loss is $300.
ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
A stolen vehicle out of Wheeling was located unoccupied at 7:11 p.m. Dec. 17 in the 3800 block of Michael Lane. The investigation was turned over to the Wheeling Police Department.
BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
- A resident in the 400 block of Warren Road reported at 5:12 p.m. Dec. 17 someone entered her vehicle sometime between 8 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. The inside of the vehicle was in disarray but nothing appeared to be missing.
- A resident in the 1100 block of Longmeadow Drive called police at 6:52 p.m. Dec. 17 to report finding the front passenger door to their vehicle ajar. Items inside the vehicle were in disarray but nothing appeared to be missing.
ARMED ROBBERY
Police responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at 9:02 p.m. Dec. 18 at 7-Eleven, 2441 Glenview Road. The lone employee told officers a male entered the store, displayed a weapon, and demanded money from the cash register. The male left in a silver unknown make or model vehicle. No one was injured during the incident. The male was described as medium complexion, 30-40 years of age, 5-feet-8, 160 pounds, and wearing a black colored full face mask. STOLEN VEHICLE
An employee of a business in the 1500 block of Paddock Drive reported at 5:42 a.m. Dec. 21 someone stole a purple Freightliner Cascadia 126 from their lot. Total reported loss is $130,000.
THEFT BY DECEPTION
A resident in the 3400 block of Maple Leaf Drive called police at 3:34 p.m. Dec. 21 to report receiving an alert on his computer last week to call a number about a Microsoft scam. After speaking to multiple people with accents and being convinced the scam was real, the resident wired $45,500 to a bank in Bangkok, Thailand.
