16-Year-Old Boy Arrested After Hit-And-Run Investigation: Blotter

INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 8:36 a.m. on July 11 that someone had stolen $99 worth of merchandise by changing price tags before checking out.

BURGLARY
A resident in the 3500 block of Carol Lane reported around 11 a.m. on July 11 that someone had stolen a package worth $25 from inside an unlocked parked vehicle during the prior night.
THEFT
A resident in the 4500 block of Concord Lane reported at 12:10 p.m. on July 11 that someone had cashed three stolen checks for $570.

TRESPASSING
An employee in the 1300 block of Glenview Road reported at 1:22 p.m. on July 11 that someone was on the business’ property without permission.
THEFT
A resident in the 100 block of Lincoln reported at 3:38 p.m. on July 11 that someone never paid for $420 worth of merchandise sold via an online auction website.
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
A resident in the 2400 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 8:12 p.m. on July 11 that they had gotten unwanted telephone calls.
BATTERY
A patron in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported shortly after 2 a.m. on July 14 that there weer two men fighting at the business.
CAR BURGLARY
A resident in the 1900 block of Burr Oak Drive reported at 11:31 a.m. on July 14 that someone had stolen cash and glasses worth $500 from an unlocked vehicle in a driveway the prior night.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
A motorist in the 1900 block of Palmgren Drive reported at 5:38 p.m. on July 14 that someone had stolen the front license plate off of their vehicle at a cost of $100.
THEFT
An employee in the 1500 block of Waukegan Road reported at 12:23 p.m. on July 15 that someone had come into the store claimed to have been shortchanged after hiding money in his waistband.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 1:17 p.m. on July 15 that two teenagers stole $150 worth of clothes from a store.
UNWANTED PERSON
An employee in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 9 p.m. on July 15 that a customer was yelling at him.
TRESPASSING
An employee in the 4300 block of DiPaolo Center reported at 12:10 p.m. that someone was on their property without permission.
TRESPASSING
A resident in the 3100 block of Landwehr Road reported at 4:20 p.m. on July 16 that someone was on their property without permission.
ARRESTS
Barbara Kenzer, 65, of the 0-100 block of West Philip Road in Vernon Hills, was arrested around 10 a.m. on July 9 at the Glenview Police Department and charged with theft after an investigation into a June 24 incident that took place in the 1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested shortly before noon on July 9 in the 1200 block of Greenwood Avenue following an investigation into a hit-and-run traffic crash in the 2600 block of Chestnut Avenue. He was petitioned to juvenile court for driving without a valid license and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
A 45-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 7:53 p.m. on July 9 and charged with driving with no valid driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Independence Avenue.
Robert Gibbs, 43, of the 1800 block of Hovland Court in Evanston, was arrested shortly after 8 p.m. on July 9 in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road and charged with retail theft and obstructing identification following and investigation into an incident in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road.
John Burds, 56, of the 3200 block of Old Glenview Road in Wilmette, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. on July 10 at his home and charged with violation of an order of protection following and investigation into a June 25 residential burglary in the 1200 block of Brook Lane.
Kyle Lancaster, 28, of the 5700 block of North Campbell Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 6:02 p.m. on July 10 in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with computer tampering and battery.
