Glenview 4th of July 2017 Fireworks And Parade

Ready for Independence Day? The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and we've got a complete list of area fireworks for the nation’s 241st birthday. Some of the events listed below include celebrations extending throughout the day, while others focus fully on fireworks after dusk.
- July 4, concert begins at 7 p.m.
- Gallery Park, Glenview
- Fireworks set from the middle of Lake Glenview, viewing areas to the west, south and north of the lake.

Because of construction on Harlem Avenue and Glenview Road through the downtown area, the parade route has been changed for 2017. The parade will start at Glenview Road and Elm Street and head west to end at Glendale Road.

Children's Bike Parade
Children ages 4 to 9 are invited to step off the parade by bringing their decorated bike to the Glenview Community Church parking lot, 1000 Elm Street, by 10:30 a.m. Participation is free and there is no registration necessary. The bike parade starts at 11:15 a.m.
Independence Day Parade
Beginning at 11:20 a.m., the Grand Marshall will lead 75 community groups, entertainers, floats and marching bands from the intersection of Glenview Road and Elm Street west to Glendale Road.
Twilight Concert and Fireworks
The 2017 concert and fireworks takes place at Gallery Park. The concert begins at 7 p.m. with patriotic music by the 100-piece North Shore Concert Band, followed by the fireworks display to a recorded musical score. The fireworks will be shot off from the middle of Lake Glenview. Public areas to view are located to the west, south and north of the lake. Speakers will be placed throughout the park.

VIP parking and general parking areas are offered to donors who receive parking passes and those paying a fee. Free, public parking is available in The Glen Town Center parking garages and the Metra lots at The Glen of North Glenview station.
To facilitate a smooth traffic flow leaving the area after the show ends, motorists will be restricted to a specific direction of travel depending on the parking lot from which they are exiting.

- 9:30 p.m. Fireworks display. (Alcohol is prohibited and ttendees are not permitted on the Highland Park Country Club grounds for the fireworks show.)

- Brickyards Park, Deerfield
- 9:15 p.m. Fireworks display follows a silent auction as part of Deerfield Family Days.
- July 4, 7:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
- Clark Street Beach, Evanston
- 9:30 p.m. Lakefront fireworks show follows twilight concert.
- July 4, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. (concludes five-day Morton Grove Days festival)
- American Legion Memorial Civic Center, Morton Grove
- 9:45 p.m. fireworks follow live music.
- July 4, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
- Niles West High School, Skokie
- 3-D Fireworks follow parade and 6:30 p.m. concert. (First 10,000 patrons receive free 3-D glasses.)
