GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

- Melva Arevalo, 46, of the 10400 block of Michael Todd Terrace, Glenview, is accused of driving with no valid driver's license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested following an investigation of a traffic crash at 10:40 a.m. Sept. 28 in the 3800 block of Glenview Road. She was released on a $2,500 bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 20.
- Darlene Brand, 58, of the 8600 block of Trumbull Avenue, Skokie, is accused of driving without a valid driver's license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested following a traffic crash investigation at 2:35 p.m. Oct. 2 at the intersection of Waukegan Road and Overlook Drive. She was released on a $2,500 bond, and assigned a court date of Nov. 18.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Adriana Trevi, 41, of Glenview, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 3:06 p.m. Sept. 29. She was processed and held pending a bond hearing on Sept. 30.

SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Frederick L. Hawekotte, 49, of the 2500 block of Winnemac Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving with a suspended driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested after a crash investigation at 3:52 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 1200 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on a $2,500 bond, and assigned a court date of Nov. 3.
- Antonio D. Ellis, 29, of the 3000 block of W. Grandville Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving with a suspended driver's license, improper lighting (one headlight), failure to display proof of insurance, and was arrested at 9:37 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 3700 block of Central Avenue in Glenview. He was released on a $3,000 bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 20.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
- Mokrane Landri, 64, of the 600 block of Glenshire Road, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested following a traffic crash investigation at 10:07 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 2400 block of East Lake Avenue. She was released on $1,000 bond, and assigned a court date of Nov. 18.
- Maria Hong, 32, of the 300 block of Nottingham Avenue, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving on a sidewalk, failure to wear a seatbelt, and was arrested following an accident investigation at 10:23 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 300 block of Washington Street. She was released on $3,000 bond, and was assigned a court date of Oct. 20.

BURGLARY
- A resident in the 1500 block of Forest Drive reported at 9:23 a.m. Sept. 29 someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took change from the center console. The reported loss is $1.
- A shopper in the 2700 block of Aviator Lane called police at 11 p.m. Sept. 30 to report someone entered their unsecured vehicle while it was parked at the garage during the overnight hours and took a purse from within. The reported loss is $350.
- An employee of a business in the 1100 block of Depot Street reported at 6:20 a.m. Oct. 2 someone entered a store damaging the shutter of the business. The reported loss is $620.
- A resident in the 1600 block of Elmwood Lane called police at 3:28 a.m. Oct. 6 to report someone entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and searched the interior. Nothing appeared missing and there is no reported loss.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 11:54 a.m. Sept. 29 two females entered the store and walked out without paying for merchandise. The reported loss is $720.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
- An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road called police at 4:09 p.m. Sept. 29 to report someone entered the business to solicit for money and refused to leave when asked.
- A guest in the 1700 block of East Ridgewood Lane reported at 3:44 a.m. Oct. 3 someone entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway. Nothing appeared missing and there is no reported loss.
AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT
- A Mohawk Lane resident called police at 8:39 a.m. Sept. 30 to report receiving notification by their employer that someone applied for unemployment benefits using the resident’s identity. There is no reported loss.
- A Lawson Road resident reported at 9:51 a.m. Oct. 2 receiving a letter in the mail from the Illinois Department of Employment Security saying unemployment checks in the amount of $434 were deposited in a Bonneville bank account. The resident does not have an account at that bank. There is no reported loss to the resident.
- A Rolling Pass resident called police at 2:13 p.m. Oct. 2 to report someone accessed their bank account using Zelle, a computer banking application, and withdrew money without authorization. The reported loss is $4,000.
THEFT
- An employee of a business in the 300 block of Waukegan Road reported at 12:02 p.m. Sept. 30 someone removed an envelope containing money from an unattended backpack inside the business. The reported loss is $300.
- A resident in the 3200 block of Dell Place called police at 12:41 p.m. Sept. 24 to report someone took money to complete a home construction project and the job was never completed. The reported loss is over $3,000.
- An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Tower Drive reported at 7:37 p.m. Oct. 2 someone stole two outdoor propane torches from the front of the business. The reported loss is $400.
- A resident in the 1100 block of Castilian Court called police at 2:08 p.m. Oct. 5 to report they placed an online order for computer parts and the box was delivered empty. The reported loss is $830.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT SUPPORTED PROPERTY
An employee in the 2600 block of Aviator Lane reported at 1:07 p.m. Sept. 30 someone damaged a metal door on the top deck of the parking garage staircase.
TRESPASS
An employee of a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 1:54 p.m. Sept. 30 to report a customer was refusing to wear a mask inside the business.
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Stevens Drive resident reported at 9:25 a.m. Oct. 2 receiving an electronic bank alert indicating someone applied for small business loan using the resident’s personal information. There is no reported loss to the resident.
- A Glenview Road resident called police at 4:44 p.m. Oct. 2 to report receiving a notification letter from the Illinois Department of Employment Security reporting someone made an unemployment claim using their personal information. There is no reported loss to the resident.
- A Country Lane resident reported at 8:56 p.m. Oct. 2 receiving a notification from the Illinois Department of Employment Security saying unemployment benefits were approved. The resident did not apply for unemployment benefits. There is no reported loss to the resident.
- An Evergreen Court resident called police at 2:07 p.m. Oct. 4 to report receiving a debit card and letter from the Illinois Department of Employment Security approving unemployment benefits. The resident never applied for the benefits. There is no reported loss.
- A resident in the 900 block of Burnham Court reported at 11:48 a.m. Oct. 5 their employer said someone applied for unemployment benefits through the Illinois Department of Employment Security using the resident’s personal information. There is no reported loss.
HARASSMENT THROUGH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
An employee of a business in the 3600 block of West Lake Avenue called police at 11:42 a.m. Oct. 2 to report receiving several threatening Facebook Messenger messages.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
A guest in the 1700 block of East Ridgewood Lane reported at 3:44 a.m. Oct. 3 that after hearing a commotion outside, they saw someone take their unlocked vehicle that was parked on the driveway with the keys inside. The reported loss is $85,000.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
An employee of a business in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 12:32 a.m. to report an intoxicated customer fought with staff.
HARASSMENT BY ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
An Arbor Lane resident reported at 5:25 p.m. Oct. 5 someone used a fake Twitter account name to post harassing messages.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A resident in the 1600 block of Canterbury Lane called police at 3:06 a.m. Oct. 6 to report someone was on the driveway pulling door handles on a vehicle parked there. The vehicle was locked and there is no reported loss.
