911 Caller Talks Trump Tower Terrorist Attack: Glenview Police Blotter

Chicago police SWAT and K9 units were activated and responded to where the call, and other 911 calls, were coming from in Glenview.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Sergio Bacauc, 18, of the 8900 block of N. Washington Street, Niles, is accused of aggravated battery (great bodily harm), aggravated battery of a taxi driver, and was arrested at his home at 12:19 p.m. Jan. 7. The arrest was in regard to an incident that occurred on Dec. 3 outside Vapes R Us, 9725 Milwaukee Ave.

Jaclyn Cecchin, 36, of the 6300 block of N. Rockwell Street, Chicago, had an active warrant out of McHenry County, and was arrested at 2:29 a.m. Dec. 19, in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Uurstuikh Songorov, 37, of the 3700 block of Salem Walk Drive, Northbrook, is accused of having no valid driver's license, no insurance, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 9 a.m. Dec. 19, in the 4600 block of Willow Road follwing a traffic crash investigation. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 17.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Sergio Carrillo Espino, 42, of the 2300 block of N. Old Pond Lane, Round Lake Beach, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, DUI drugs, possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested at 2:32 a.m. Dec. 20, in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 23.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident in the 900 block of Long Road reported at 12:54 p.m. Jan. 4, someone had broken one of the basement windows and a screen.

FORGERY

Employees of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported on Jan. 4 that between October of last year and January, someone changed the business' banking and owner information on the Doordash account, which caused $26,969.64 to be directed to a Wells Fargo account. The new owner of the Doordash account was listed as a subject possibly from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A resident from the 400 block of 4th Street reported at 10:47 a.m. Jan. 4, several people egged their vehicle while it was parked at the residence overnight.

THEFT OF LOST/MISLAID PROPERTY

A resident called police at 2:44 a.m. Jan. 4, to report losing their Apple Watch ($400) while visiting a business in the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue. They said the watch last pinged in Chicago and the text messages to the watch requesting a return went unanswered.

INFORMATION FOR POLICE

Police responded to the 4500 block of N. Seminole Drive at 7:10 p.m. Jan. 3, at the request of the Chicago police for a wellbeing check at that address. Chicago police advised they received multiple 911 calls from the phone number associated with that address. Officers made contact with the resident who was uncooperative, saying they did not need any assistance and only called 911 because no one else would answer. They were asked to stop calling 911. Later, officers learned Chicago police received a call from the phone number associated with that person, advising of a possible terrorist attack at the Chicago Trump Tower. Chicago police SWAT and K9 units were activated and responded to the scene.

RETAIL THEFT

Employees for a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive called police at 4:19 p.m. Jan. 3, to report two males removed three pairs of Nike Air Force One shoes (total $300) from the store without paying. They left the area in a gray Dodge Charger. Officers located the Charger traveling southbound on Patriot Boulevard. A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle fled and was last seen traveling eastbound on East Lake Avenue.

MINORS IN POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL

Police responded to a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road at 11:52 p.m. Jan. 2, after receiving an anonymous complaint regarding the underage drinking at the establishment. Upon arrival, officers located several patrons under the age of 21, and they were issued Village ordinance citations for minor in possession of alcohol. The owner of the business was issued a Village ordinance citation for alcoholic beverage sales to minors.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident of the 1700 block of Jefferson Avenue reported on Jan. 2 that at some time prior to Jan. 1, someone had damaged their exterior Christmas decorations in the front yard. Damaged were several candy cane items staked into the ground along the sidewalk; damage was approximately $15. They also found a brown wallet on the ground near the decorations, which was turned over to detectives. Identification in the wallet showed it belonged to a resident of the 2200 block of Dewes Street. The resident responded to GPD to retrieve their property and when questioned about the damage, stated they were intoxicated on New Year's Eve and did not remember damaging the decorations. They further apologized if they did cause the damage.

HARASSMENT VIA ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION

An employee for a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 2, a former employee had been sending unwanted Facebook messages professing their love for them. The employee had also sent other employees pictures of drugs and money with a caption of "King love." The person was contacted by officers and informed to cease all contact with the complainant; they denied contact, but did acknowledge that they understand.

UNWANTED PERSON

An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road called police at 12:01 p.m. Jan. 6, to report two males were in the business making a lot of noise. They were asked to leave but continued to cause a disturbance. After asking them multiple times to leave, they left after being told police were being called. They told the employee they would stay to report racism against them. The employee canceled the membership they used to get in.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

A Glenview Public Works employee reported at 8:54 a.m. Jan. 6, they saw the front window shattered at a business in the 3400 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Officers cleared the building and saw the cash register, along with several products, on the floor of the business. There was a landscaping brick on the counter. Video shows a grey sedan back into a parking pace in front of the store around 2:20 a.m. Approximate loss is $900.

TRESPASSING

A resident of the 1600 block of Waukegan Road at 12:45 a.m. Jan. 7, reported their friend was intoxicated and causing issues. The resident wanted them to leave after they started arguing. The friend started throwing items and broke a bottle. Officers took the friend home without incident.
