Craigslist Harasser Sends Video Of Beheading: Glenview Police Blotter
A resident had contacted someone through a Craigslist ad for massage services, according to police.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

- Sebastian Sawicki, 30, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 9:08 p.m. Jan. 17, following a well-being check in the 2400 block of Sanders Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 18.
- Jaime Litjens, 46, of the 800 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park, is accused of DUI, possession of a controlled substance, following a suspicious vehicle investigation in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 21.
VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
Juan Zepeda, 32, of the 400 block of 4th Street, Glenview, is accused of violation of an order of protection, and was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Jan. 15.

WARRANT
Donald Fritz, 58, homeless, had a warrant out of Lake County, and was arrested at 3:08 p.m. Jan. 16, in the 1100 block of Depot Street.

INCIDENTS
STOLEN VEHICLE
A resident in the 1600 block of Primrose Lane called police at 12:07 a.m. Jan. 19, to report their char was stolen while it was parked on the roadway. The vehicle's last known location was recorded in Chicago.
BURGLARY FROM AUTO
- A resident reported at 5:13 p.m. Jan. 18, someone had gained entry to their vehicle while it was parked in the parking of a business in the 3800 block of Willow Road. The person removed their purse containing credit cards. One of the credit cards was later used at a Best Buy store to purchase $2,497.90 worth of merchandise.
- An employee of a business in the 2000 block of Chestnut Avenue reported on Jan. 15 that a window on a business vehicle had been broken at some time between Jan. 4 and Jan. 13. A remote for the plow was taken that had been inside the vehicle. Total loss is $1,800.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- A resident in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 3:41 p.m. Jan. 18, to report someone had punctured both driver's side tires of their vehicle while it was parked.
- Two people reported to police at 11:54 a.m. Jan. 17, that they had got into a verbal argument in the parking lot of a business in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. After the argument, one person intentionally struck the other's vehicle with their car door.
- A citizen reported at 8 a.m. Jan. 17, someone had poured Pennzoil oil into the Diesel Exhaust Fuel system of their vehicle which was left in the parking lot of ain the 2700 block of Sable Drive. Estimated repair cost was $4,000.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee for a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard reported on Jan. 18 that one week earlier, a man and woman entered the store and removed a wide variety of products offered for sale without paying. Total loss was $505.18 The same couple is suspected in committing retail
AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT
A Langley Circle resident called police at 11:55 a.m. Jan. 17, to report a woman went to a BMO Harris Bank branch in Indiana and attempted to withdraw $3,000 from their account. They were contacted by the bank and the transaction was denied.
FRAUD
A Summit Drive resident called police at 9:07 p.m. Jan. 14, to report someone had hacked their email account and emailed a family member using a similar email address. In the email, the person posed as the resident and asked the family member to purchase an E-gift card because they were having issues with their bank and credit card. The family member purchased a $300 Door Dash gift card and sent it. The person then asked for another $300, but the family member did not send it.
THEFT
An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Johns Drive reported at 12:14 p.m. Jan. 15, someone had attempted to siphon gas from one of the company vehicles. Video shows an unknown male exiting the passenger side of a dark-colored SUV approaching the vehicle. The gas cap was found unscrewed and a plastic tub was coming out of the tank.
DISPUTE
A Chicago resident reported at 11:19 a.m. Jan. 16, another driver was honking at them to exit a business parking lot in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road, but the roadway was not clear. The caller then gave the other driver, a resident of the 1900 block of Henley Street, the middle finger. Both cars drove southbound Waukegan Road, where the caller said the other driver was driving erratically and motioning like they wanted to fight. The caller pulled into a business in the 700 block of Waukegan Road to report it. Officers spoke with the other driver via telephone, who admitted to honking at the caller but said the caller continued giving the middle finger while driving down Waukegan Road, until the driver turned off.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A Chicago resident called police at 8:31 p.m. Jan. 19, to report driving in the parking lot of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road and attempting to park in an open space. A Highland Park resident was loading groceries in the adjacent spot and yelled at them, striking the hood, saying that they almost hit them. The driver reported being shaken up by the incident.
HARASSMENT BY ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
A Glenway Drive resident called police at 11:34 a.m. Jan. 20, to report contacting someone through a Craigslist ad for massage services. They decided not to go through with the services, but has since received numerous calls and text messages telling them they owed $100. They also sent a video of someone being beheaded with a sword. The male who was calling was told by officers to cease communication, but the calls continued.
