The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise welcomes Phil Rogers from NBC5 News as our program speaker for November 29, 2012.
Phil Rogers joined NBC5 News as a general assignment reporter in May 1993. Phil has covered everything from the
War in Iraq to the Rod Blagojevich trial. Rogers is a five time winner of Best Reporter honors from Associated Press and United Press International, as well as Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative reporting. Most recently, he won an Emmy Award for a 30-minute special on the opening of the new Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois. A 1977 graduate of
Oklahoma State University, Rogers has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. He is a licensed private pilot, is married, and has one daughter. Drop a line at Phil.Rogers@nbc.com.
Founded in Chicago over 100 years ago, Rotary is a world-wide, non-denominational service organization. The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise is active in a wide variety of community and international service projects and is affiliated with Rotary International to advance numerous humanitarian projects, including the drive to eradicate polio worldwide. The club meets weekly at the Glenview Park Golf Club Café at 800 Shermer Road in Glenview. The meetings begin at 7 AM and feature weekly speakers. Members of the public interested in service are welcome to attend.

The club invites members of the public interested in hearing Phil Rogers present and learning more about Rotary to attend this program. The entry fee of $12 includes the program and the breakfast buffet.
