Incidents and arrests from the Glenview Police Department blotter from Sept. 19 to Sept. 25.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by Glenview police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.

THEFT
A resident in the 600 block of Elmgate Drive reported at 1:07 p.m. on Sept. 18 that someone had stolen $300 in cash from their home.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 1600 block of West Ridgewood Lane reported at 2:32 p.m. on Sept. 18 they had been getting unwanted telephone messages and emails.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 1400 block of Brandon Road reported shortly before 3 p.m. on Sept. 18 that someone had damaged two of their house’s windows for a loss of $900.

SHOPLIFTING
An employee at a store in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported shortly after 4 p.m. on Sept. 18 that someone stole $12 worth of clothing.

IDENTITY THEFT
A Maple Leaf Drive resident reported on the afternoon of Sept. 19 that they had gotten a credit card in the mail that they had never ordered. It had accrued $1,700 in unauthorized charges.

SHOPLIFTING
An employee at a store in the 3700 block of Willow Road reported at 8:25 a.m. on Sept. 20 that someone had stolen $3,500 worth of allergy medicine from a shelf.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
An employee in the 2300 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 12:12 p.m. on Sept. 20 that they had gotten unwanted text messages.

BURGLARY
A customer in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 7:03 a.m. on Sept. 21 that someone had smashed the driver’s side window of their car and stole a purse while parked in a lot. The reported loss was $650.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported around 9:30 p.m. on Sept 21 that someone stole $100 worth of cell phone chargers from a shelf.

THEFT
A customer in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported at 3:33 p.m. on Sept. 22 that someone had stolen a wallet from a cart for a loss of $370.

BURGLARY
A patron at a park in the 1000 block of Zenith Drive reported at 5:33 p.m. on Sept. 22 that someone stole a purse from inside a parked vehicle after smashing a window for a total loss of $2,000.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee at a store in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 22 that someone had stolen $38 worth of clothing.

TRESPASSING
A resident in the 2300 block of Larkdale Drive reported at 1:32 a.m. on Sept. 23 that someone was on their property without permission.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 800 block of Lenox Road reported at 1:43 a.m. on Sept. 23 that someone had damaged the side mirrors on their vehicles for a reported loss of $1,000.

THEFT
Someone stole a metal signpost with a speed limit sign and neighborhood watch sign from the parkway in the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue prior to 1 p.m. on Sept. 23 for a loss of $50.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 2400 block of Glenview Road reported at 4:37 p.m. on Sept. 23 that someone had sent them unwanted electronic messages.

TRESPASSING
An employee in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported at 7:19 p.m. on Sept. 23 that someone had broken a beer bottle in the washroom of the restaurant.

TRESPASSING
A resident in the 4400 block of Lilac Avenue reported at 10:23 p.m. on Sept. 23 that someone was on their property without permission.

CHECK SCAM
A resident in the 2600 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 9 p.m. on Sept. 24 that someone had sent a fraudulent refund check for a larger amount and asked for gift cards in return. There was no reported loss.


ARRESTS

Deon Poindexter, 32, of the 20300 block of Crawford Avenue in Matteson, was arrested at at 9:50 a.m. on Sept. 18 at the Skokie Courthouse and charged with unlawful possession of another’s credit card following an investigation into a car burglary that occurred in the 3300 block of Glenview Road on April 22, 2017.

A 49-year-old Glenview woman was arrested around 11 p.m. on Sept. 18 and charged with driving without a valid driver's license following a traffic stop in the 1800 block of East Lake Avenue. She was also ticketed for running a red light.

Veronica Castro, 37, of the 1500 block of Cornelia Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested at 3:25 a.m. on Sept. 19 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above after a traffic stop in the 100 block of Waukegan Road. She was also issued citations for driving with a revoked license and improper lane usage.

Steven Gray, 64, of the 3100 block of Knollwood Lane in Glenview IL was arrested at 4:34 p.m. on Sept. 20 and charged with domestic battery in the 3100 block of Knollwood Lane.

A 47-year-old Morton Grove man and a 39-year-old Glenview woman were arrested on Sept. 21 and 22 and charged with reckless driving after an investigation of a driving complaint in the 2600 block of East Lake Avenue. Both were also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 3:25 p.m. on Sept. 21 and charged with driving without a valid license following an investigation into a traffic crash in the 600 block of East Lake Avenue. He was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Luis Hernandez-Dominguez, 24, of the 900 block of 9th Street in Northfield, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. on Sept. 22 after a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Waukegan Road. He was subsequently charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more, driving while license revoked and possession of an unspecified controlled substance. He was also ticketed for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Anne Eriksson, 54, of the 300 block of Maude Avenue in Arlington Heights, was arrested at 9:13 p.m. on Sept. 23 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 3400 block of West Lake Avenue. She was also ticketed for improper lane usage.

A 45-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 9:33 p.m. on Sept. 23 after a traffic stop in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving without a valid license.
