Figure Skating, Holiday Events: Glenview Parks Calendar

Here's what the Glenview Park District is offering residents this week.

From Glenview Parks: Breakfast with Santa 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 at The Café at Glenview Park Golf Club, 800 Shermer Rd. Santa Claus is stopping by to enjoy breakfast with you and your family! The child-friendly buffet includes scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, bagels, pastries, coffee, milk and assorted juices. Back again this year is a carving station, side dishes, and dessert table. $27.95 per adult, $14.95 per child 13 and under (plus tax & gratuity). Children under 2 years free. Space is limited. Registration is underway for Holiday Figure Skating Exhibition The Glenview Ice Center at 1851 Landwehr kicks off the 2018 Winter Carnival with a free Holiday Figure Skating Exhibition on Friday, Dec. 21 beginning at 5 p.m. Watch soloists, synchronized skating teams and Glenview Skate School skaters showcase their talents.Glenview Skate School skaters who want participate must register at the Ice Center front office by Dec. 13 at 7 pm. Participation fee: $5

Salvation Army Angel Tree Through Dec. 14, Glenview Ice Center, 1851 Landwehr Rd. Pick up a tag from the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree, located in the lobby of the Glenview Ice Center, and purchase holiday gifts for a child in need. Ongoing Events Historic Wagner Farm Winter Sales 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Historic Wagner Farm, 1510 Wagner Rd. Friday Night Meltdowns 8:15-10:15 p.m., every Friday at Glenview Ice Center, 1851 Landwehr Rd. Join us for an awesome skate and dance party! A DJ plays today’s hits and disco lighting shines on the ice throughout the night. Admission: $8 per person, or use your season skating pass! Bring your own skates or rent a pair for the evening.
