Glenview Park District Names New Chief of Leisure Services
Elsa Fischer most recently served in a role at the nearby Northbrook Park District.

A former Northbrook Park District director has been tabbed as the superintendent of leisure services at the Glenview Park District.
The hiring of Elsa Fischer, a seasoned parks and recreation vet, was made official in Glenview on Friday. She will begin in her new role June 8.
“I look forward to using my talents to provide high quality recreation programs and services to the residents of Glenview,”Fischer said. “As a strong team player, I thrive on building relationships with residents, officials and staff.”

In addition to serving as the director of leisure services for the Northbrook Park District, Fischer has experience as the director of recreation for the Downers Grove Park District.

“We are thrilled Elsa is joining our team,” said Michael McCarty, executive director of the Glenview Park District. “With a broad background managing similar facilities and services, she is a great fit for our district. Fischer is committed to providing the excellent customer service Glenview residents rely on.”
Fischer will be responsible for overseeing all activities at Park Center, Flick and Roosevelt Outdoor Aquatic Centers, Historic Wagner Farm, The Grove National Historic Landmark, Fuller Air Station Prairie and Schram Memorial Chapel.
