Glenview Savers Closing Along With 4 Other Chicago-Area Locations
Thrift store chain Savers is shutting down more than a third of its Chicago-area stores this spring.

GLENVIEW, IL — The chain of thrift superstores owned by Bellevue, Washington-based Savers announced this week it's closing five Chicago area stores.
Savers will close its Glenview location, along with stores in Downers Grove, Arlington Heights and Franklin Park on April 17.
A Unique-branded thrift store in the West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago will close Monday, a Savers spokesperson told the Chicago Tribune.

Nine other Savers or Unique stores will stay open in the Chicago area and will keep buying donated goods from local nonprofits, which it either sells or recycles, according to the company.
