Halloween 2022: Glenview Recommends Trick-Or-Treat Hours

The Village has signs available to let kids and parents know if a particular house is participating.

GLENVIEW, IL — Halloween falls on Monday this year, so you still have time this weekend to stock up on candy if you haven't. In Glenview, the Village recommends residents limiting trick-or-treating to between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

The Halloween weather forecast for Glenview looks fairly good, according to Accuweather. The high for Monday is 61 degrees, with a low of 47 degrees. There is a 25 percent chance of rain.

The Village released the following tips on its website:

  • Map out a trick-or-treat route for your child to follow.
  • Make sure kids cross streets only at corners — and look in all directions first. Remind them to use sidewalks or walk facing traffic so approaching cars can be seen. Caution against crossing the street between parked cards, where drivers can’t see them.
  • If children are allowed out after dark, fasten reflective tape to their costumes and bags, or give them glow sticks.
  • Warn children not to eat any goodies until you’ve had a chance to inspect them. When in doubt, throw it out.
