GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. ARRESTS
VIOLATION OF PROTECTION ORDER
Jason Braganza, 43, of the 900 block of Long Street, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. May 8 and charged with violation of an order of protection following an assault investigation which showed the active order of protection. He was transported to the Second District Courthouse, Skokie for a bond hearing.

RETAIL THEFT
Maad Fathi, 26, of Chicago, and Atta Msari, 18, of Chicago, were arrested at 5:07 p.m. May 6 and charged with retail theft after a complaint of alcohol theft in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road. They were released on a $1,000 I bond and assigned a court date of June 9.

BURGLARY
A 16-year-old male from Chicago was arrested at around 6:39 p.m. May 6 in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with Burglary after a complaint of a stolen cellular telephone from a hotel room in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was turned over to his guardian.
INCIDENTS
BURGLARY
- A resident in the 900 block of Long Road reported at around 8:15 a.m. May 5 someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took a pair of sunglasses from inside. The reported loss is $200.
- A resident in the 2100 block of Dewes Street called police at around 8:44 a.m. May 5 to report someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and searched through the interior. Nothing was missing and there is no loss.
- A resident in the 1400 block of Baffin Road reported at around 9:22 a.m. May 5 that someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway at 0108 hours and searched through the interior. There is no loss.
- A resident in the 2000 block of Burr Oak Drive called police at around 11:30 a.m. May 5 to report someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway at 2:29 a.m. and took a handgun from the glovebox. The reported loss is $450.
- A resident in the 100 block of Mulberry Court reported around 9:07 a.m. May 6 that someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took change and a driver’s license from inside. The reported loss is 10 cents.
- A resident in the 900 block of Leamington Avenue called police at around 11:19 a.m. 6 to report someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway and searched through the interior. There is no loss.
- A customer in the 700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 2:29 p.m. May 7 someone broke into their storage unit and stole cash from inside. The reported loss is $10,000.
- A resident in the 1800 block of Camden Drive called police at around 2:34 p.m. to report someone entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took a garage door opener. The opener was located a short distance away. There is no loss.
- A guest in the 1800 block of Aberdeen Drive reported at 3:37 p.m. May 9 someone entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the street and stole a garage door opener during the overnight hours. The reported loss is $50.
- A resident in the 2700 block of Summit Drive called police at around 3:29 p.m. May 9 to report someone entered their unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and searched the interior of both vehicles. There is no reported loss.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
A resident in the 300 block of Neva Avenue reported at 9:22 a.m. May 5 two vehicles pulled up to the driveway at 02:07 a.m. Several youths walked up to a vehicle parked on the driveway and tried the door handles on the vehicle. No entry was gained and the youths reentered their vehicles and left. There is no loss.
RETAIL THEFT
- An employee in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 4:28 p.m. May 5 to report someone took multiple eye-drop boxes off a shelf, placed them in a handcart and walked out without paying. The reported loss is $1,013.
- An employee in the 2800 block of Willow Road reported at 9:46 p.m. May 5 two women came into the store, each filled a bag with cosmetics and left the store without paying. The reported loss is $2,133.32.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
- An employee in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 12:06 p.m. May 7 to report someone came into the store and became upset at a credit card issue. They punched the plastic protective barrier.
- An employee at a business in the 2400 block of Sanders Road reported at 9:49 p.m. May 7 a customer became upset after being asked to use a mask.
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Clearview Drive resident called police at 12:13 p.m. May 8 to report someone attempted to use their personal information to purchase a motorcycle. There is no loss.
- A Phillips Drive resident reported at around 5:47 p.m. May 8 someone attempted to withdraw money from their bank account. There is no loss.
FORGERY
- An employee at a business in the 3700 block of Willow Road called police at around 2:41 p.m. May 8 to report someone tried to fill a fraudulent prescription. There is no loss.
- An employee in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at around 11:59 a.m. May 11 someone using a computer program generated fraudulent checks using the business’ logo and name and attempted to cash them. There is no loss.
DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
A Waukegan Road resident called police at around 6:59 p.m. May 8 to report receiving a message stating their computer had been hacked and should purchase gift cards and send the codes to repair the computer. The reported loss is $4,900.
SUSPICIOUS AUTOMOBILE
A resident in the 1400 block of Evergreen Terrace reported at 7:22 p.m. May 5 a vehicle parked in front of the residence drove away quickly when the homeowner opened the front door to take a closer look.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
- A resident in the 800 block of Glenview Road called police at around 7:49 a.m. May 9 to report someone entered their unlocked garage and took a vehicle stored inside during the overnight hours. The reported loss is $100,000.
- A resident in the 250o block of Violet Street reported at around 8:54 a.m. May 9 someone entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and took a garage door opener. The garage, and a vehicle therein, were entered. Cash and a checkbook were taken. The reported loss is $32.
HARASSMENT BY PHONE
- A Lexington Lane resident called police at around 2:48 p.m. May 9 to report receiving unwanted telephone calls.
- A Princeton Lane resident reported at 2:49 p.m. May 11 receiving three unwanted telephone calls from the same number.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO A CAR
A resident in the 1400 block of Plymouth Place called police at around 4:14 p.m. May 9 to report someone damaged a tire on their vehicle with a screw. The reported loss is $25.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO A CAR
A resident in the 900 block of Lenox Road reported at 7:15 p.m. May 9 that around 2 a.m. someone entered their unlocked vehicles parked on the street and searched through the vehicle. There is no reported loss.
