Light Fixtures Worth Thousands Stolen From Residence
IRS sends resident letter stating $5K is owed due to false return.

THEFT
On July 27 at 12:20 p.m., 25 outdoor light fixtures were reported stolen in the 1700 block of Monterey Drive. The reported loss is $7,500.

IDENTITY THEFT
On July 27 at 11:30 a.m., a resident in the 3800 block of Knollwood Lane reported receiving a letter from the IRS stating they owed more than $5,000 due to a false tax return filing.

BATTERY
On July 28 at 11:42 a.m., officers were called to 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue for a disturbance/fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke to two females who were seen fighting and they were released at the scene.
IDENTITY THEFT
On July 28 at 12:52 p.m.,, a homeowner in the 4700 block of Locust Avenue reported receiving a letter from the IRS stating and someone had filed a federal tax return using his social security number.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
On July 29 at 6:45 a.m., a resident in the 2700 block of Linneman Street reported a neighbor’s front door was standing open. Officers found the front door was forced open. The reported loss is $100.
IDENTITY THEFT
On July 29 at 4:50 p.m.,, a resident in the 500 block of Michael Manor reported someone purchased merchandises from a department store on his credit card. The reported loss is more than $500.
