Man Attempts To Kidnap Girl As She Gets Off Bus In Glenview: Police

The incident occurred at the conclusion of the school day Monday in the area of Milwaukee Avenue and Kennicott Lane.

GLENVIEW, IL — A man attempted to kidnap a female student after she exited her school bus Monday afternoon in the area of Milwaukee Avenue and Kennicott Lane. According to police, the incident occurred at around 3:41 p.m.

The student got off the bus when the unknown man grabbed her and the two fell to the ground. Police said the girl struck the man and he ran away from the scene. He was last seen entering an SUV-style vehicle and fleeing south on Milwaukee Avenue.

The student was not injured during the incident.

On Tuesday, police released the following description of the man: white or Hispanic, facial hair, wearing a black shirt, black jacket, yellow pants, and a white beanie-style cap.
