Glenview Police Reports Jan. 31-Feb. 6

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from Glenview Police Department incident reports.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Jan. 31 shortly before 1:00 p.m. a customer in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a dispute with another driver in the parking lot.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICE

On Jan. 31 shortly after 1:00 p.m. a contractor in the 1000 block of Pfingsten Road reported not receiving payment for his work from his general contractor and reported a loss of $4,000

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On Jan. 31 at 4:43 p.m. a resident in the 2800 block of Independence Avenue reported someone knocked a mailbox off the post, costing them $400.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Jan. 31 at 5:52 p.m. a guest of a home in the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue reported another resident yelled at them for parking in front of their house.

THEFT

On Jan. 31 shortly after 9:00 p.m. a Northbrook resident reported someone he met in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road sold him a stolen telephone, for a reported loss of $250.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE-SUPPORTED PROPERTY

On Feb. 1 at 7:46 a.m. an employee in the 2500 block of Harrison Street reported playground equipment was damaged. for a reported $1,200 in damage. (This is the second report of more than $1000 in damage done to a Glenview playground in two weeks.)

RETAIL THEFT

On Feb. 1 at 2:41 p.m. an employee in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported someone took bottles of liquor from the shelf and left the store without paying for a loss of #180.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 1 at 3:49 p.m., a resident in the 100 block of Dale Street reported someone approached them and asked to look in their backyard, then a different person entered the house without permission, stealing an unknown number of items were taken.

IDENTITY THEFT

On Feb. 1 at 6:36 p.m., a resident in the 1600 block of Imperial Drive reported someone opened several credit accounts in their name and used the accounts to purchase merchandise for a loss of $300.

UNWANTED GUEST

On Feb. 1 at 9:45 p.m., an employee in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a guest was in violation of the rules and had to leave.

THEFT

On Feb. 2 at 7:31 a.m. a customer in the 2000 block of Johns Drive reported a license plate was stolen off their car.

THEFT

On Feb. 2 at 11:16 a.m., a resident in the 1100 block of Juniper Terrace reported someone stole items from the house for a reported loss of over $1,000.

UNWANTED SOLICITOR

On Feb. 2 at 3:39 p.m. an employee in the 200 block of Waukegan Road reported someone was soliciting money on the property.

IDENTITY THEFT

On Feb. 2 at 6:47 p.m. hours, a resident in the 2500 block of Central Road reported someone used their personal information to open a credit account.

COMPUTER TAMPERING

On Feb. 2 at 6:37 p.m. a resident in the 1400 block of Pendleton Lane reported someone took control of their computer and asked for bank account information.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 3 at 7:28 a.m., a resident in the 1600 block of Maple Street reported someone broke a door lock on their vehicle for a loss of $100.

Later that morning, at 7:51 a.m., a resident in the same block reported someone broke a door lock on their vehicle as well, for a loss of $200.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 3 around 3:00 p.m., a resident in the 600 block of Windsor Road reported someone entered their unlocked vehicle and took $800 worth of personal items.

IDENTITY THEFT

On Feb. 3 around 6:00 p.m., a resident in the 700 block of York Road reported someone opened several different credit accounts using their personal information.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 3 at 7:15 p.m., an employee in the 1400 block of Patriot Boulevard reported someone attempted to enter their vehicle.

COMPUTER CRIME

On Feb. 3 at 4:30 p.m., a resident in the 2500 block of Indigo Lane reported someone placed a virus on their computer and charged them to remove it, costing them $300.

IDENTITY THEFT

On Feb. 4 at 3:45 p.m., a resident in the 1800 block of Silverwillow Drive reported someone opened a debit card in their name and accessed their funds, costing them over $500.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 5 at 10:40 a.m., a resident in the 2700 block of Glenview Road reported someone entered their unlocked vehicle on the driveway and stole an estimated $2 from inside.

RETAIL THEFT

On Feb. 5 around 1:00 p.m., an employee in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported someone took over $500 worth of liquor off the shelf and left the store without paying.

BATTERY

On Feb. 5 at 1:39 p.m., an employee in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone grabbed them by the arm without permission.

BATTERY

On Feb. 5 at 3:37 p.m., a park patron in the 500 block of Echo Lane reported someone knocked them to the ground.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 5 at 3:47 p.m., a resident in the 800 block of Prairie Lawn Road reported someone entered their unlocked vehicle and took electronic equipment for a loss of $500.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 5 around 4:00 p.m., a resident in the 2600 block of Glenview Road reported someone entered their unlocked vehicle and stole an estimated $5 from inside.

RETAIL THEFT

On Feb. 5 around 6 p.m., an employee in the 1300 block of Patriot Drive reported someone took $45 worth of alcohol off the shelf and left without paying for it.

CHILD ENDANGERMENT

On Feb. 5 at 7:12 p.m., customer in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported a child was left alone in a running vehicle.

BURGLARY

On Feb. 6 around 9:00 a.m., a resident in the 600 block of Long Road reported someone tried to pry open a garage door for a reported loss of $100.
