Shoplifters Take Booze; Glenview Woman Accused Of DUI: Blotter

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. INCIDENTS
SHOPLIFTING
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 4:27 p.m. on March 26 that someone stole hand cream and refresher oil worth $25 after hiding them on their person.

THEFT
An employee in the 2800 block of Willow Road reported shortly before 9 a.m. on March 27 that someone had stolen the license plate off the back of a car parked in their lot for a loss of $125.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING
An employee in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported shortly before 9 a.m. on March 27 that someone had entered several model trailers without permission during the overnight hours but nothing was reported missing.

SHOPLIFTING
An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported around 1 p.m. on March 27 that someone stole several packages of Prilosec and Nexium worth $350 after taking them from a shelf and putting them in a bag.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Cove Lane resident reported on the afternoon of March 27 that someone had used their social security number in Chicago for employment purposes.
IDENTITY THEFT
An employee in the 2300 block of Waukegan Road reported at 2:47 p.m. on March 27 that someone had come into the store and tried to rent a car with a fraudulent driver’s license from another state.
THEFT
An employee in the 1200 block of Harms Road reported at 4:41 p.m. on March 27 that someone had eaten a meal and left without paying a $30 bill.
THEFT
A resident in the 2000 block of Ammer Ridge Court reported at 6:14 p.m. on March 27 that someone had taken a cell phone without permission. The amount of loss is unknown.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1700 block of Grove Street reported on the afternoon of March 28 that they had been asked to checked fraudulent checks received in the mail. There was no loss.
ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported shortly before 3 p.m. that they had been threatened with harm if they didn't send send money online.
UNWANTED PERSON
An employee in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported shortly before 8 a.m. on March 29 that a customer had come into the store and started yelling at customers and employees.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING
A resident in the 3800 block of Joanne Drive reported at 8:49 p.m. that someone had been on their property without permission.
INTOXICATED PERSON
At 5:40 p.m. on March 29, a passing motorist in the 800 block of Harlem Avenue reported an intoxicated man fell onto the street and got up before falling into the parkway grass. He was later sent home in a cab.
BURGLARY
An employee in the 4300 block of Regency Drive reported around 6 p.m. on March 29 that someone had stolen $850 worth of tools from the back of box truck during the overnight hours.
THEFT
An employee in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 9:22 p.m. on March 29 that someone stole $120 in cash out of the register.
FRAUD
An employee in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a person was attempting to make fraudulent purchases shortly before 11:30 a.m. on March 30.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 3100 block of Coral Lane reported at 4:45 p.m. on March 30 that an unauthorized disability claim had been submitted to Social Security using their personal information.
SHOPLIFTING
An employee in the 2900 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 6:16 p.m. on March 30 that two people had stolen an unknown amount of goods after walking out of the store with a bag of with a bag of merchandise.
FORGERY
An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 6:44 p.m. on March 31 that someone had used $200 worth of counterfeit currency to pay for purchases.
THEFT
A visitor in the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue reported at 9:37 p.m. on April 1 that someone had stolen a car key, pill bottle and wallet from a parked vehicle for a loss of $150.
BURGLARY
A resident in the 200 block of Harlem Avenue reported shortly before 1:30 p.m. on April 2 that someone had entered their house under false pretenses and stole jewelry worth $7,500.
ARRESTS
A 28-year-old Richmond man was arrested at 9:19 a.m. on March 26 and charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding following a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Patriot Drive.
A 24-year-old Glenview man was arrested at 7:07 p.m. on March 26 and accused of driving without a valid license or headlights following a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Tower Drive.
A 32-year-old Chicago woman was arrested shortly before 9 p.m. on March 27 and charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of East Lake Avenue.
Jason McGee, 45, of the 7600 block of West Grennan Place in Niles, was arrested at 6:48 p.m. on March 29 and charged with retail theft from the Mariano’s at 25 Waukegan Rd after he was witnessed stealing shaving and alcoholic products from store shelves and $70.00 in merchandise was recovered.
Christina Georganas, 27, of the 1700 block of Harrison Street in Glenview, was arrested at 4:07 a.m. on March 30 following a traffic crash investigation in the 1700 block of Patriot Boulevard and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
A 53-year-old Carpentersville man was arrested at 8:11 p.m. on March 30 and charged with driving with a revoked license – and without insurance or a rear license plate light – following a traffic stop in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
A 61-year-old Glenview man was arrested at 8:41 p.m. on March 31 and charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle while his license was suspended following a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Constellation Drive.
