Stalker Tracks Resident With Apple Airtag: Glenview Police Blotter

Police said the tracking device had been placed in the spare tire compartment of their resident's vehicle.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Marciano Medina, 36, is accused of driving under the influence, and was arresed at 10:42 p.m. Feb. 14, in the 3500 block fo Milwaukee Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of March 26.
  • Luis Perez, 40, of the 2900 block of N. Natoma, Chicago, is accused of DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, speeding 26-34 mph over the limit, and was arrested at 1:01 a.m. Feb. 12, in the 700 block of East Lake Avenue. He was released following his arrest.

HARMFUL MATERIALS DISTRIBUTED TO PERSON UNDER 18

Eduardo Aguayo-Garcia, 31, of the 4300 block of West Lake Avenue, Glenview, is accused a harmful materials to distribute to person under 18 charge, and was arrested at 8:44 a.m. Feb. 11, at the Glenview Police Department. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 13.

WARRANT

Steven Higgins, 66, had warrants out of Lake and Will counties, and was arrested at 3:13 a.m. Feb. 12, at the train station, 2301 Lehigh Avenue. He was taken to the Lake County courthouse for a conditions hearing.

AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT

Angelina Thomson, 43, of the 7900 blockof Oak Leaf Avenue, Elmwood Park, is accused of aggravated identity theft, and was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 9, at the Glenview Police Department. The arrest followed an investigation into a complaint on Oct. 6, 2025. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 23.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE/TRESPASS TO PROPERTY

A resident of the 4100 block of Cove Lane reported at 2:07 p.m. Feb. 9, someone had been jiggling the door handle to their apartment. They opened the door and saw the person sitting on the porch repeatedly saying, "Sorry, sorry." Approximately 15 minutes later, the person returned and broke through the front by kicking it. The resident confronted the person in the doorway and they said sorry and fled on foot.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A resident of the 2800 block of Covert Road reported at 6:50 a.m. Feb. 10, their vehicle had been taken from the garage at 12:34 a.m. and their credit card was used for four unauthorized transactions. GPS showed the vehicle parked at 4:45 a.m. hours in Chicago and was located unoccupied.

STALKING

A resident of the 1100 block of Washington Street reported at 1:21 p.m. Feb. 11, finding an Apple Airtag in the spare tire compartment of their vehicle.

RETAIL THEFT

Employees of a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 1:50 p.m. Feb. 11, two females took liquor from the store without paying for the items and left in a black unknown SUV along with a previous unreported theft on Feb. 2.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

The front door of a business in the 2600 block of Shermer Road was found at 3:45 a.m. Feb. 12, shattered. The cash register drawer was removed and later located in the 2100 block of Shermer Road. Complaints will be signed.

THEFT

  • A resident of the 2300 block of Larkdale Drive reported at 9:53 a.m. Feb. 13, they had suffered a loss of $50,000. They reported they wire transferred money to a travel agency for a trip on Jan. 15, 2027. They checked their itinerary on Feb. 15 and learned their trip was cancelled and the company never received any wire transfer. FTC and IC3 were contacted.
  • Employees of a business in the 0 block of Waukegan Road reported at 3:08 p.m. Feb. 16, they had stopped a customer after they passed the last point of purchase with a bottle of vodka hidden in their coat. They were issued a citation for theft and given a trespass warning not to return.

TRESPASS WARNING

An employee for a business in the 0 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:02 p.m. Feb. 13, they wanted an intoxicated person who was caught stealing liquor trespassed from the business. The person put the liquor back when confronted. They were located in the parking lot and were told they were no longer welcomed inside the store.

UNWANTED PERSON

Three female customers told employees for a business in the 3300 block of Glenview Road at 10:44 a.m. Feb. 15, that they were being recorded by a white male in his early 20s with a beard, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, and a hoodie.

HARASSMENT

A resident of the 1600 block of Palmgren Drive reported at 11:46 p.m. Feb. 15, someone had created multiple Instagram accounts and sent messages asking them to respond before things start to escalate. They included personal information in the messages.
