Stolen Car Found 4 Days Later In Chicago: Glenview Crime Reports

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations. Everyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.

INCIDENTS

IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 3600 block of Glenlake Drive reported on the morning of April 17 that someone used their credit card number to make fraudulent purchases for a loss of more than $3,000.

BURGLARY
A patron in the 3800 block of Willow Road reported at 4:39 p.m. on April 17 that someone had taken keys from a locker. A wallet was later found stolen from a corresponding car in the parking lot.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
An employee in the 3800 block of Willow Road reported at 2:39 p.m. on April 18 that someone had been pulling locked door handles in an apparent attempt to get into the building.

IDENTITY THEFT
A Riverside Court resident reported on the afternoon of April 18 that they had gotten notified by email that a credit card had been fraudulently used to purchase electronics for a loss of $1,200.

THEFT
A resident in the 2100 block of Rugen Road reported at 5:06 p.m. on April 19 that someone had tried to use their credit card to buy electronics but there was no loss reported.

IDENTITY THEFT
A Parkview Road resident reported on the morning of April 19 that two credit card accounts had been compromised with fraudulent charges. The credit card company covered the losses.

IDENTITY THEFT
An Indian Road resident reported on the afternoon of April 19 that someone had fraudulently charged merchandise to a credit charge account. The loss was covered by the credit card company.

STOLEN CAR
A resident in the 500 block of Michael Manor reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. on April 20 that someone had stolen a vehicle from a driveway during the previous night. The vehicle was later recovered at 7:32 p.m. on April 23 in the 5800 block of North Leonard Avenue in Chicago.

TRESPASS
A resident in the 400 block of Elm Street reported at 4 p.m. on April 21 that someone was on their property without permission.

TRESPASS
A resident in the 4000 block of Denice Court reported at 9:35 p.m. on April 21 that someone had gone into a vehicle on their driveway. There was no loss reported.

BATTERY
An employee at a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported around 1:30 a.m. on April 22 that customers were fighting.

DISPUTE
An employee in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 2:25 a.m. on April 22 that a customer was trying to leave without paying their bill. There was no loss reported.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 3100 block of Landwehr Road reported at 6:25 p.m. on April 23 that someone had sent unwanted threatening e-mails.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
A resident in the 1600 block of Winnetka Road reported at 6:25 p.m. on April 23 that they had been receiving unwanted telephone messages.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
A resident in the 1100 block of Longmeadow Drive reported at 7:21 p.m. on April 23 that two men were going up to cars parked in driveways and pulling on the car door handles.

ARRESTS

Anne Grimes, 46, of the 1200 block of Waukegan Road in Glenview, was arrested at 5:13 a.m. on April 19 at her home and charged with domestic battery.

Nikolai Minkov, 20, of the 10300 block of Dearlove Road in Glenview, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. on April 21 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue. He was also cited for minor in possession of alcohol and speeding.

Joseph Park, 36, of the 300 block of Cherry Lane in Glenview, was arrested at 4:09 a.m. on April 22 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in the 200 block of Greenwood Road.
