Jonathan P. Scherb, 43, of the 800 block of Waukegan Road, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report a vehicle accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to notify the Secretary of State of an address change, and was arrested at 6:08 p.m. June 2, following a crash investigation in the 1700 block of Robincrest Lane. He was released on bond.

BATTERY

Michael Clanton, 30, of the 300 block of Homewood Drive, Bolingbrook, is accused of aggravate battery, and was arrested at 3:55 p.m. June 4, at the Prospect Heights Police Department. The arrested followed an investigation of an incident reported earlier in the day at Glenbrook Hospital, 2100 Pfingsten Road. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

RETAIL THEFT

  • Jorge Rosario, 48, of Genoa City, Wisconsin, is accused of felony retail theft, and was arrested at 10:30 a.m. May 31, at the Cook County Jail. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident reported on March 5 at a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road. He was released on bond and was taken back into the custody of the Cook County Sheriff.
  • Gregory Mandrek, 39, of the 3000 block of Bayside Drive, Palatine is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 1:30 p.m May 31, at the Cook County Jail The arrest followed an investigation into an incident reported on March 11 at a business in the 2900 block of Patriot Boulevard. He was released on bond and back into the custody of the Cook County Sheriff.
  • Sherri Hansen, 51, of the 6700 block of N. Oshkosh Avenue, Chicago, is accused of four counts of retail theft, and was arrested at 1:45 p.m. June 1, in the 3700 block of Techny Road. The arrest followed an investigation into several incidents reported at a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road. She was released on bond.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Guadalupe Hernandez-Vallesteros, 34, of the 700 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, is accused of having no valid driver's license, failure to reduced speed to avoid a crash, and was arrested at 7:27 a.m. June 1, following the investigation of a traffic crash in the 0-10 block of Astellas Way. She was released on bond.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Carmen Matache, 58, of the 700 N. Wilshire Drive, Mount Prospect, is accused of disorderly conduct, and was arrested at 3:15 p.m. May 29, following the investigation of an incident at Flick Park Pool, 3600 Glenview Road. She was released on bond.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Hector Catalan, 29, of the 1000 block of 10th Street, Northfield, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 10:38 p.m. May 29, following the investigation of an incident. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

INCIDENTS

SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • A Chicago resident was cited at 8:32 p.m. May 30, for having a suspended driver's license, expired registration, following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Willow Road.
  • A Schaumburg resident was cited at 10:26 p.m. May 31, for having a suspended driver's license, improper lane usage, following a traffic stop in the 4800 block of West Lake Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 1:54 p.m. May 31, to report a female wearing a pink shirt, blue shorts, and sandals, stole several bottles of alcoholic beverages from the store. She entered a vehicle and left the area.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A Highland Park resident reported at 3:16 p.m. May 31, their vehicle was stolen from a parking lot in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue while the vehicle was parked unlocked with the keys inside.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE SUPPORTED PROPERTY

Glenview Park District employees reported at 10:07 a.m. June 2, discovering that during the overnight hours, someone damaged a bathroom at Little Bear Park, 2598 Chestnut Ave.

THEFT

A resident in the 2900 block of Independence Avenue called police at 12:37 p.m. June 2, to report sending Bitcoin to a fraudulent address as part of a computer scam.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A North Chicago resident was cited at 11:47 a.m. June 2, for registration suspended for non insurance, operating an uninsured vehicle, expired registration, and no valid driver’s license, after a traffic stop in the 1400 block of East Lake Avenue.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A Lake Barrington resident reported that during the overnight hours of June 2, someone removed the catalytic converter from under their vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 1400 Milwaukee Avenue.
  • A resident in the 4500 block of Concord Lane called police to report that between 2 a.m. and noon June 3, someone stole the catalytic converter from under their vehicle which was parked on Concord Lane.

BATTERY

A resident reported at 9:09 p.m. June 2, while they were a patron at a business in the 1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue, an unknown female struck them on the head with her purse.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Castle Drive resident reported at 4:25 p.m. June 3, someone opened a new AT&T account using their personal information.

FORGERY

A Heatherfield Lane resident called police at 6:49 p.m. June 3, to report a check mailed at the Northfield U.S. post office was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for the same amount.
