Woman Spat On For Not Wearing Mask At Park; Cars Stolen: Blotter
A woman at an area park said she was harassed and spat upon for not wearing a mask; cars were stolen at homes: Glenview Police Blotter.

Jordan Gonzalez, 24, of the 2100 block of Lavergne Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving with no valid driver's license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 7 following a crash investigation in the 3800 block of West Lake Avenue. He was released on a $2,500 bond, and assigned a court date of Nov. 23.

Nestor Bahena-Garcia, 32, of the 0-100 block of South Branch Road, Glenview, is accused of battery, and arrested at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 11. He also had an active warrant with the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation. Bahena-Garcia was taken for a bond hearing on Oct. 12. Court date is set for Nov. 3.

BURGLARY
- A resident in the 1200 block of Hawthorne Lane reported at 11:17 a.m. Oct. 6 someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took a backpack. The reported loss is $40.
- A resident in the 1900 block of West Ridgewood Lane called police at 4:36 p.m. Oct. 6 to report someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on their driveway and took a credit card from inside. The reported loss is $1.
- A customer of a business in the 2800 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 10:18 a.m. Oct. 7 someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the parking lot and took jewelry from inside. The reported loss is $13,000. Complaints will be signed.
- An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 11:55 a.m. Oct. 9 to report someone broke into an office and took construction equipment from inside. The reported loss is $10,300.
THEFT
- A customer of a business in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 8:05 p.m. Oct. 6 a diamond ring was taken. The reported loss is $12,000.
- A resident in the 2900 block of Covert Road called police at 1:25 p.m. Oct. 8 to report jewelry missing from their residence. The reported loss is $11,000.
- A resident in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 8 receiving a telephone from someone posing as an electric company resident who said their account was overdue. A payment was sent. The reported loss is $2,400.
- A resident in the 900 block of Burton Terrace called police at 7:02 p.m. Oct. 11 to report someone stole a sign from their front yard. The reported loss is $10.
- An employee of a business in the 2900 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 6:43 p.m. Oct. 12 losing a telephone in the parking lot. The reported loss is $490.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 9:02 a.m. Oct. 7 to report someone took a cup of coffee from the store without paying. The reported loss is $2.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE RECOVERED
A resident in the 100 block of Lincoln Street reported at 9 a.m. Oct. 7 someone took their unlocked vehicle from the driveway during the overnight hours. The keys were inside the vehicle. The vehicle was later located in Dolton.
BURGLARY
- A customer of a business in the 2800 block of West Lake Avenue called police at 10:18 a.m. Oct. 7 to report someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the parking lot and took jewelry from inside. The reported loss is $13,000. Complaints will be signed.
- An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 11:55 a.m. Oct. 9 someone broke into an office and took construction equipment from inside. The reported loss is $10,300.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 2100 block of Sunset Ridge Road called police at 11:23 a.m. Oct. 7 to report someone entered the residence by forcing open a door. Nothing was taken from inside. There is no reported loss.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Patriot Drive reported at 12:53 p.m. Oct. 7 someone stole an unlocked vehicle from the parking lot. The keys were inside. The reported loss is $80,000.
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Bette Lane resident called police at 6:06 p.m. Oct. 7 to report someone attempted to fraudulently lease an apartment using their personal information. There is no reported loss.
- A Lizette Lane resident reported at 10:21 a.m. Oct. 9 someone opened a new telephone account using their personal information without authorization. There is no reported loss.
- A Kittyhawk Lane resident called police at 9:53 a.m. Oct. 10 to report receiving a letter in the mail from the Illinois Department of Employment Security approving unemployment benefits. The resident did not file for benefits. There is no reported loss.
- A Burton Terrace resident reported at 1:26 p.m. Oct. 10 receiving a letter in the mail from the Illinois Department of Employment Security approving unemployment benefits. The resident did not file for benefits. There is no reported loss.
- A Crescent Lane resident called police at 8:07 p.m. Oct. 11 to report someone used an old credit card number to purchase electronic merchandise without authorization. The reported loss is $1,400.00.
- A Longvalley Road resident reported at 1:58 p.m. Oct. 12 their employer received a letter from the Illinois Department of Employment Security stating the employee applied for unemployment benefits. The resident never applied for benefits. There is no reported loss.
AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT
An Iroquois Drive resident called police at 3:31 p.m. Oct. 9 to report receiving a letter in the mail from the Illinois Department of Employment Security approving unemployment benefits. The resident did not file for benefits. There is no reported loss.
FORGERY
A Lizette Lane resident reported at 11:39 a.m. Oct. 10 someone wrote a fraudulent check on their bank account. The reported loss is $4,500.
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
A Dewes Street resident called police at 12:53 p.m. Oct. 10 to report receiving unwanted telephone calls.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 11 a suspected shoplifter made a threatening statement when confronted after being stopped by the employee.
BATTERY
A park patron called police at 6:19 p.m. Oct. 11 to report being confronted by someone who scolded her for not wearing a mask and then spit on her in the 2600 block of West Lake Avenue.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
A resident in the 1900 block of Larkdale Drive reported at 2:26 a.m. Oct. 12 someone was on their property without permission.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
- An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 8:16 a.m. Oct. 12 to report wire was cut allowing entry to the site. The reported loss is $10.
- A resident in the 1800 block of Colfax Avenue reported at 10:43 a.m. Oct. 12 someone broke the driver’s side mirror on their vehicle while parked on the driveway between during the overnight hours. The reported loss is $500.
- A passerby called police at 7:25 p.m. Oct. 12 to report someone damaged fencing on the west side of a park in the 1500 block of Forest Drive. The reported loss is $150.
