On the Border Writers Celebrate One Year Anniversary at McHenry Public Library
Authors from Wisconsin and Illinois meet January 27 at the McHenry Public Library

This Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 pm, On the Border Writers’ Group meets for their one-year anniversary at the McHenry Public Library. On the Border is a newer chapter of Word Weavers International, Inc. Meetings begin with a time of networking where members share publishing accomplishments, writing news, and upcoming local writing events and then participate in short writing exercises. The core focus of each gathering is on critiquing each other’s writings, which are limited to 1,500 words per member. Each manuscript is read aloud and then the group members, many of whom are published authors, offer feedback. Aside from the short explanation of their piece, the writer receiving critique just listens.
Christian writers looking for a place to connect can come the fourth Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 pm at the McHenry Public Library, 809 N. Front St., McHenry, IL.
