GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, hosted an Environmental Forum this week. Over thirty constituents were in attendance and received updates about Illinois’ budget impasse and important conservation issues.
“Our area is best served when people get involved in the legislative process, and I was humbled so many people were able to join me at my recent forum about environmental matters,” Yingling said. “We all have an important role to play when it comes to preserving our state’s precious resources. This particular event helped connect neighbors with local advocacy groups and incorporate them into the continued conversations about smart ecological policies.”
Yingling was joined by Illinois Environmental Council executive director Jen Walling, Illinois Sierra Club executive director Jack Darin and Barbara Klipp from the Woods and Wetlands Group and provided attendees with a legislative update on environmental issues while answering audience members’ questions.
Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Third Lake, Wauconda and Wildwood.
