www.opuschoralensemble.com Duruflé originally composed the Requiem, Op. 9, in 1947 Durufle includes the original Gregorian chant melodies sung in Greek and Latin, from the Requiem Mass (Mass for the Dead). The Requiem was originally written for 3 trumpets, timpani, harp, organ, strings with choirs and vocal soloists.
