Flood Victim Donations – Avon Food Pantry

Michele Bauman, Director of Avon Food Pantry, reached out to her co-workers at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate – Grayslake, “we need to do something, help me get the word out we need supplies, food, etc.” She had just spent an exhausting Friday at the pantry, they had run out of cleaning supplies, and most foods.

Springing to action the team drafted a Facebook post, generous Broker\Owner’s Susan and Jim Starwalt volunteered the office as a drop off location, and the plan was off in less than 30 minutes. The team began sharing the Facebook posts, Terry Wilke, Avon Township Supervisor arranged a truck to shuttle goods to the pantry and Red Cross Disaster Relief locations. Donate today, Sunday July 16, 2017 until 4 pm.

Donation drop bins will be available through Saturday, July 22.

Needed: Clothing, diapers, blankets, cleaning supplies and non-perishable food.
