GIve a Kid a Flag to Wave at Memorial Day Parade a success
Exchange Club of Grayslake hands out flags for the Memorial Day Parade
Just as its tongue-twisting title suggests, this popular projects involves the distribution of small American flags to youngsters at parades, fairs, picnics, school events or other community happenings that generate large crowds. The flags are absolutely free to the children and can make a great souvenir of the occasion.
This year, the Exchange Club of Grayslake passed out over 3000 flags to parade watchers. The Club has been participating in this national program for at least 20 years creating a great addition to an already exciting parade.
Celebrating over 40 years of service to the community, the Exchange Club of Grayslake is part of a national service organization that focuses on projects for our Youth, Americanism, Community Service, and our national project Prevention of Child Abuse. All proceeds from our fundraising eventsΒ will help support many worthwhile community programs.
