GNHS Students Empower Other with Job Training at Twisted Cow
Grayslake North Public Service Practicum students offer training and empowerment to students with disabilities with an event at Twisted Cow
While everyone knows that ice cream has the power to put a smile on any child’s face, GNHS student Corryn Smith believes ice cream also has the power to offer opportunities for students with disabilities. Smith has organized a work experience and social event at the Twisted Cow Ice Cream Shop that will empower students run the business for a special afternoon of learning and bonding.
What: Work-based learning experience to target pre-employment skills
Who: Grayslake North High School Life Skills and Public Service Practicum Students, and any members of the community who love ice cream and supporting a good cause
