Grayslake Arts Group Unveils First Public Art Project
The Grayslake Arts Alliances unveils its first work of public art.

The Grayslake Arts Alliance unveils its first work of public art--aptly named "The heART of Grayslake--at its tent June 24 during the Chamber of Commerce Art Festival and Fine Craft show and 1st Annual Wine Tasting.
The 16 by 20 mixed media canvas was created by Grayslake residents who visited the Grayslake Arts Alliance tent at the May 27 Farmers Market, where they were invited to "make their mark" in acrylic paint or other material, including photos, colored glass beads, wax strings, glue, cardboard letters and foam.
GAA members John and Zee Lacson (of Dopler Audio and ZeeShots respectively) came up with the idea as a way to increase art awareness in the community, to increase participation in the arts and promote the local arts group.
