Grayslake North Choir Makes Disney Music

by T. Niels Local Lake County high school choir performs at DisneyWorld's Candlelight Processional over the 2015 Thanksgiving weekend.

Choir Director Paul Nielsen sent an audition tape of Grayslake North High School’s Choirs to Disney last fall in hopes of performing at the 2015 Candlelight Processional at Epcot. His students were awarded the opportunity to perform in this highly attended and anticipated venue during the holiday season at DisneyWorld. On Saturday, November 28, Grayslake North choir students have the privilege of being one of a handful of other choirs to sing with Disney’s Voices of Liberty, accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra. Gary Sinise will be the celebrity narrator.

Mrs. Sandra Moll, Grayslake North choir parent, offered to chaperone the trip. “I’m looking forward to accompanying the students on this special opportunity. It’s a great way to start the holiday season.” The Grayslake North Choir will be singing at the 6:45 pm and 8:15 pm Candlelight Processional performances at the American Gardens Theater in Epcot’s American Pavilion.
