Grayslake North Tri-M's Musical Chairs for Chair-ity Winners Announced

On Wed. January 20th, three student teams competed in a team musical chairs competition at Grayslake North High School. Lydian Concepts, comprised of students in the GNHS jazz combo, provided live music for the event. The Squad team, comprised mostly of students on the cheerleading squad, took first place. Sage Lawson, Julia Hassan, Camryn Gunn, Becca Nadeau and Caiden Silverberg each won a $10 Chipotle gift card and a free singing valentine. The Squad was undefeated until the Single/Double Elimination Tournament round.

Run for Fun, the Musical Chairs second place team, represented the GNHS cross country team. Students Jacque Garza, Liam O’Connell, Rebecca Sosa, Dylan Ponomar and Seneca Lawson each won a free singing valentine, to be delivered to a student of their choice next month. GNHS’s Tri-M’s singing valentines is their main fundraiser each February, with music students delivering over 300 songs during lunch periods on a single day.
