Grayslake Park District Wins Award for Safety Practices

Maintains Highest Safety Accreditation Status

The Grayslake Community Park District recently received a $1,500 cash award from the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) for maintaining its current Level A accreditation status for 2017. Level A accreditation status is the highest award that can be earned through a comprehensive safety and loss control review process. The Grayslake Park District has maintained its accreditation status for the past 17 years.

The tri-annual loss control review process is a 10-month audit of every aspect of Park District operations to ensure that the District has established and implemented a comprehensive safety and loss prevention program. The District scored a remarkable 98.97% on the loss control review. The Grayslake Park District has exceeded the expectations set by PDRMA every year since 1999.

“We are delighted that our dedicated staff has achieved the highest level of accreditation for risk management,” said Grayslake Park District Executive Director Kristin Splitt. “We take the safety of our participants, parks and facilities seriously at the Grayslake Park District and will continue to strive for excellence in risk management.”
