Katie Larson of Grayslake, Illinois Receives PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University
Dissertation Title: Adolescents' Self-Described Transformations and Their Alignment with Transformative Learning Theory

Katie Titus Larson of Grayslake, Illinois has been awarded a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University. Her dissertation titled, Adolescents’ Self-Described Transformations and Their Alignment with Transformative Learning Theory focused on how adolescents experience transformative learning and “explored the depth of two adolescent girls’ lived experiences during their high school years and the degree to which their self-described transformative incidents aligned with transformative learning theory.”
Dr. Larson received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA and her Masters in the Art of Teaching Science from Miami University, Oxford, OH. She is a transformative creative depth coach and founder of GrowthQuests, a coaching practice designed to guide and support personal development in adults. A TEDxSpeaker, international educator and former teacher at Grayslake Central High School, Dr. Larson is also the author of Freckles Felt Fine, a book that encourages emotional growth in children.
