Lake County’s Premiere Dance Venue, Dress Up & Dance, Lays Down a Bigger Dance Floor in Mundelein

December 12, 2016, Mundelein, IL – On November 11, 2016, Dress Up & Dance opened its new location at 206 Terrace Drive, Mundelein, Illinois. Formerly on US Highway 45 in Grayslake, the club offers a safe, non-alcoholic environment for dancers and non-dancers alike to gather, socialize, and dance. The new club boasts 3200 square feet of available dance floor—nearly twice that of the original club—in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

Open at 7pm Monday through Saturday and 6pm on Sundays, Dress Up and Dance features a nightly dance lesson and open dancing; dancers can attend both the lesson and open dance for only $12. Featured dances include but are not limited to: Salsa, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Tango, Bachata, Hustle, Country, Line Dancing, Cha-cha, Steppin’, Waltz, and Night Club Two-Step. In addition to its regularly scheduled events, the club hosts a variety of themed parties for celebrations such as Mardi Gras and a Halloween Masquerade, as well as special events such as New Year’s Eve and a Prom celebration that both require advanced purchase tickets.

Dress Up & Dance is also available to rent for special occasions, such as birthday parties, graduation parties, and anniversary celebrations.

“When we first opened the doors to Dress Up & Dance in 2010, our goal was to provide a local venue for Lake County dancers to enjoy,” said owner Angela Wilson-Hill. “We were welcomed with open arms by area dancers to the point that we had to find a bigger space so they could all have room to dance. I’m so excited to be able to welcome more dancers to our new location.”

No matter what night you choose to visit the club, Dress Up & Dance encourages patrons to do just that: dress up! “We like to dress up and party,” admitted Wilson-Hill. “Our dancers wear everything from professional ballroom couture to dressed-up jeans. Formalwear is not required except for special events such as New Year’s Eve and Prom.”

Featuring a confetti drop and non-alcoholic toast at midnight, the New Year’s Eve party is a routinely sold-out event that offers a safe and local celebration alternative.
