Metra Crossing on Route 120 Closed Through Aug. 31

From IDOT: The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the Metra crossing on Illinois 120, in Hainesville, will be closed, weather permitting, at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22.

A detour will direct traffic to Alleghany Road, Peterson Road, Illinois 60 and Cedar Lake Road. The crossing will reopen by 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, weather permitting. Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
