Operation Christmas Child's "Be A Trooper" Event was a BIG success!

What do Pizza, Star Wars and Shoeboxes have in common?

The people who bring love to them..of course!

Our “Be a Trooper” Family Fest at Uno’s on October 17th was blessed with a great turn out of hardworking volunteers, happy attendees and gleeful customers as they happened upon this wonderful event.

Stormtroopers and other Star Wars Characters from 501st Midwest Garrison were in full force for fun photo ops and attention getting mayhem- there were fun crafts, hourly drawings for Star Wars themed prizes and we gave away TWO Giant Gift Baskets to 2 lucky recipients -chock full of Star wars themed items, Uno Bucks and more.

So many people learned about Operation Christmas Child for the first time...watching them leave with their first shoe boxes ready to fill and positively impact an underprivileged child’s life around the world was so rewarding!

A huge thank you to all who participated and for supporting Operation Christmas Child. Thanks go out to all of our volunteers that came out from OCC, Thrivent Financial and the incredible volunteers with 501st Midwest Garrison Star Wars Group that helped make our event extra special for all our guests.
