GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, joined directors from the Round Lake Area Park District and Shaw Subdivision Improvement Club for a ribbon-cutting event over the weekend at Shaw Park. The group celebrated the park district’s new grounds, a project made possible by grant funds Yingling helped secure.

“From open spaces and playgrounds for our youth to run around and have fun, to hosting picnics with our family and friends, our local parks are an invaluable part of our community,” Yingling said. “I was thrilled to join the Round Lake Area Park District’s directors and neighbors at this ribbon cutting ceremony, and I am proud to have helped make this exciting new development a reality.”
