Prairie Crossing Charter School Accepting Registration for 2016-2017 School Year

Prairie Crossing Charter School, a free public school, is currently accepting Registration for incoming K-8th graders for its annual lottery

Do you live in Woodland School District #50 or Fremont School District #79? Did you know your child is eligible to attend Prairie Crossing Charter School (PCCS), a free, public charter school in Grayslake?

PCCS offers a personalized K-8 public school where children learn the value of education, community and the environment. PCCS serves students in Kindergarten through eighth grade, with a maximum school size of 432 students and an average class size of 23 students. Prairie Crossing Charter School has been recognized annually for its academic excellence. In 2012, PCCS was presented with the National Green Ribbon Schools award by the U.S. Department of Education for environmental stewardship. Most recently, PCCS was honored again in 2013 as a National Blue Ribbon Schools Award recipient for academic achievement. Over 80% of PCCS 8th graders qualify for honors or AP classes in high school.
