Quarter Auction to be held for American Cancer Society's Relay For Life

American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Grayslake and Round Lake Areas Teams to Hold Quarter Auction on September 26

The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Grayslake and Round Lake Areas’ teams PartyLite For Dawn’s EarlyLite and Conquer Cancer will hold a Quarter Auction on September 26 at 12pm at Lakes Bowl/Sharky’s, 601 Railroad Ave. Round Lake. This event is open to the public and is a unique fundraiser to raise awareness and donations for the American Cancer Society.

Participants will have the opportunity to purchase a paddle for $5 (with additional paddles for $5 each). With these paddles, guests can bid on various products donated by the 15+ Home Party Vendors in attendance. If the guest is interested in bidding on an item, they will pay quarters to participate in that specific round. To participate in each round, the participant will pay one to four quarters. The more paddles a participant has, the more chances they have of winning.

Various raffles and other on-site fundraisers will be available throughout the day. All vendors in attendance will have cash and carry booths. The Quarter Auction will also feature a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Some vendors that will be in attendance include PartyLite, Origami Owl, Tupperware, Pink Zebra, Jamberry Nails, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, IT Works, Steeped Tea, Younique, Scentsy, Damsel in Defense, PalsWPawz, Homemade Cancer Awareness products, Carol’s U-nique Pix’s, Silpada, and Market America.

About the American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society is a global grassroots force of 2.5 million volunteers saving lives and fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. As the largest voluntary health organization, the Society’s efforts have contributed to a 22 percent decline in cancer death rates in the U.S. since 1991, and a 50 percent drop in smoking rates. Thanks in part to our progress; 14.5 million Americans who have had cancer and countless more who have avoided it will celebrate more birthdays this year. We’re determined to finish the fight against cancer. We’re finding cures as the nation’s largest private, not-for-profit investor in cancer research, ensuring people facing cancer have the help they need and continuing the fight for access to quality health care, lifesaving screenings, clean air, and more. For more information, to get help, or to join the fight, call us anytime, day or night, at 1-800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org.
