Rams, Knights have some postseason success

Following a successful regular season, Grayslake North added a post-season victory in the first round of the IHSLA Class B playoffs.
The Knights (11-7) defeated winless West Chicago 11-3 to open postseason play at Central Park last week. North then saw its season come to a close with a 14-5 loss against powerful St. Rita in the second round on Saturday.

Attacker Jake Squilaci, defender Drew Walters and goalie Josh Bever earned all-NSC honorable mention honors for the Knights. Squilaci, a junior, led the attack with 37 goals and 48 points on the season. Bever, a senior, finished the year with 189 saves in the net.
At Central, the Rams also advanced into the second round of the IHSA Class B playoffs.

After splitting with Mundelein during the regular season, Grayslake Central opened the postseason with a 12-6 home victory over the Mundelein last week. But St. Ignatius ended the run for the visiting Rams with an 8-2 win on Saturday.
Junior midfielder Joe Dileo and senior defender Dominic Maggiore were awarded all-NSC honors for Central, which finished the year with a 6-7 record.
