Six Become Ill, Taken to Hospital During Tornado Clean-Up at Grayslake Factory
Chemicals used by a cleaning crew likely caused the six people to become sick. They were taken to area hospitals.

Six people were taken to the hospital Monday after chemicals used to clean GFX International in Grayslake caused them to become nauseous and light-headed, the Daily Herald reports.
Firefighters called to GFX, 333 Barron Blvd., at 12:20 p.m. were unable to detect a carbon monoxide leak and hazardous material teams later determined the illnesses were likely caused by chemicals used by a cleaning crew, according to the newspaper.
The cleaning crew was hired to help clean-up after an EF-1 tornado tore off a portion of the roof at the factory Sunday night.
